Cody has completed the Utah Backcountry Discovery Route solo. With just his motorcycle “Chippewa” a Husqvarna 701 enduro and the gear that would fit on the bike. He had no support vehicle and no real escape plan but still managed to make every mile of the 871 mile trail.
He became so enthusiastic about Backcountry Discovery Routes that he became an ambassador for the Utah Backcountry Discovery Route. He volunteers time to check the route for closures, help come up with reroutes and is an administrator for the UTBDR Facebook page.
Cody has just surpassed 100 nights camping off of the 701 Chippewa in the last 2 years, some solo and some with many different friends!
He also rides dirt bikes with some of Utahs most talented riders trying to pick up more skills and pushing his skills to the limit.

2 Wheels and a Tent is about hopping on a motorcycle with all one needs to survive for days and sometimes weeks, tips and tricks, as well as the gear …. Oh yes the gear that helps us along the trail.
Not only does he share his journey but is passionate about helping others unplug from the “matrix” and find the inner peace of waking up in a tent out in some of the worlds most beautiful and remote places.
2 Wheels And A Tent is about becoming comfortable without all the white noise and becoming one with nature and our inner selves.
